Yeah. I liked Bliss. They were easy to talk to. Problem was what to put it on without falling back to the 25yr rule. Choices are limited in the US. And the NPR is just about the right size truck in terms of physical size.

Has anyone here received a double cab from earth cruiser or core? I am curious how it feels? How the cab is laid out? what the experience was like? If you used the core platform did it come ready for a box or did you have to get flexible mounting points added somewhere else. Thanks in advance.

Excursion was/is on my list of possibles. But the Defenders et. al. all seem to have a lower floor, and more useable space in the back.

Yeah. The G-Wagen, Defender, Troopy. All have shapes and space that make them useful for this type of build. Thanks for the link to Schmude, I did not know about them.

I have been thinking about a low roof transit. I like the idea of keeping the CG low. But the overall result is a bigger (longer) than I wanted.. I talked to UJoint about adding 4WD to transit. My preference would be something like a Rover, Troopy.. They both seem like they would be more capable.

Any idea on what the pricing is like on those? I also looked for measurements on their site but could not find anything. I really do want to put a pop top on it, so I think any of the new Defenders isn’t going to work for me.

Thanks for the responses. I’ll take a look at the Falkens. I use KO2’s in the summer on the 4Runner. The first winter kept them on and i tried them in wet snow. The pattern filled up with wet slush and wouldn’t shed. End up getting stuck on my ( inclined ) driveway!!

I am trying desperately to avoid #vanlife. I am looking for something that is as flexible as my 4Runner, but allow the three of us to travel and be able to sleep inside and cook inside when required.

That’s kinda rude and provocative. I got no reason to lie and I believe you when you say you have sold simple builds for more than 100K. That is the beauty of diversity. Some people is savvy shoppers. Some don’t care.
