Thanks. I have aftermarket upper arms. I think I remedied the problem with the shaft nuts coming loose by tack welding them, but this is the first time I've had a problem with the mounting bolts.

Thanks for the tip. I finally had a chance to take a look at it and one of passenger side control arm mount bolts got really loose. Tightened back up and good as new. Didn't update thread cause it was a simple fix and diagnostic once I had time to actually get in and check on it.

When I had a sport I looked into it. You can make your own mounts like that or or purchase some then just add cross bars. Should be able to hold it. I've seen a few diys floating around for 4runners, same concept, it just has to be in that exact spot. It's the strongest part of the roof

Remove the whole stock rack and replace it with other mounts that screw into that seam. You can also drill and put but rivets in to add more. Similar to this...
