    LR3 cracked dashboard thread

I'm selling my (once installed) Coverlay in the classifieds. PM if anyone's interested.

LR3 dashboard cracked? Slightly used Coverlay for much cheaper than new $125 shipped

This was installed one time, but I ended up going with something else. It does fit nicely and includes the airbag cover. I removed most of the adhesive, but there will still be a tiny bit of residue present. The airbag cover can be reapplied easily with some double sided tape. WYSIWYG.

    LR3 - what's this light for?

Thanks guys. I had the wheel off for a few minutes test fitting another wheel and somehow the car had gone into monster truck mode on it's own. It stayed that way overnight and was easy enough to reset.

    LR3 - what's this light for?

Suspension or tire or? I had the wheel off.

    LR3 cracked dashboard thread

Let's unearth this thread! I decided to finally do this and outlaid $200+ for the Coverlay. It looks okay-ish, but not worth freakin' $200 bucks! The car sits in full sun most of the day, so a section along the airbag cut-out has warped upward. I've used 2 different adhesives and applied weight...

    Smallest wheel size?

Found a set, but the center bore is listed as 72.56 mm, and LR3's are 72.6 mm. Close enough? Surely I can squeeze them on...

    Smallest wheel size?

    Specs of a few wheels I'm shopping - 17x8 +30 to +38 offsets (correct centerbore size) Tires I'll probably go with 265 65 R17.

    Smallest wheel size?

    '06 LR3 V6 too so I think 17's will fit.

    Smallest wheel size?

How low can I go? I'm kind of interested in going with a smaller diameter wheel and bigger tire combo. Is this no go due to brake, etc. rubbing issues etc?

    What Montero forum?

The one I used to frequent circa 2014-15 no longer exists - which are the decent active ones? I've already found mitsubishiforum.com and mitsubishi-forums.com......are those and E.P. the only real ones? p.s. don't ask me to join a FB group, I don't do FB.

    My 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV...

I haven't posted on Exp. Portal in years but yours caught my eye, because I've been eyeballing Outlanders lately to possibly replace my '06 LR3 - mostly for daily duty stuff. I do extensive research and I am hard pressed to find any real legit complaints/faults/issues with these, either the...

LR3 Transmission service - for those that hired a shop

What was your cost? (in the USA) I estimate the parts (Atlantic British kit and solenoids, etc) will run me $600 ish, but want to get a ballpark on labor/time. I know I can call my guys up instead and ask them specifics, but want to get at least a little input from you guys. I could knock it out...

LR3 water ingress / aftermath (dead radio)

Turns out the tubes were plugged bad. I suspect that back when the sunroof shattered into a million little pieces it only excacerbated the problem. I had a shop do the job because with zero time or patience, the holiday crush plus impending days & days & days of rain in the forecast, there was...

LR3 water ingress / aftermath (dead radio)

In the last 1-2 years I've had both my sunroof and front windshield replaced. After some serious rainstorms, I was greeted by a lot of water mostly in the passenger front footwell, and some of the center cubbies. I believe the main cause is the shoddy work the glass shop did when replacing the...

LR3 transmission slips - service worth it?

I'm taking it in tomorrow and might mention Lifeguard 6 or Mercon SP and check the reaction.....I'm expecting they might blubber about how finely crafted the artisinal LR ATF is, etc. etc. and how I should never use anything else. They're a Jag/LR shop, but it's not my usual (which isn't...

LR3 transmission slips - service worth it?

All part of LR ownership that I've mostly accepted over the years. It's usually steep (ish) at the specialist shop, but not nearly as steep as the dealer. If I'm told it needs a rebuild I'll have to think about even keeping the vehicle around at that point. Taking her in at the end of the week...

LR3 transmission slips - service worth it?

My transmission has been slowly slipping more and more and I think it's time to do something. I've gotten a few transmission fault codes thrown at different intervals, and at first it was just a minor issue and talking to my shop we decided to kick the can down the street for a while. This is at...

    LR3 dog stuff

This dog is one tough mudder, so what I'm trying to achieve is not have a mud/dirt/sand encrusted upholstery on the lower tailgate (see pic above). So far, I can only think of velcro-ing some sort of material all the way around the area. The objective is to keep that area free from cosmetic...
