Vader Van - Promaster 1500 Weekend Warrior Build

Looks good. I like the utility of still being able to haul 4x8. We were almost there with this build but the cabinet was built to spec around the cooler and stands a bit too proud. I really like the idea of the bunk being a seat and having leg room under the knee wall. I might have to adapt a...

Vader Van - Promaster 1500 Weekend Warrior Build

Standing height in the center, stock, is 5'5.5". We built up 1 1/8" from the floor (1/2" Polyiso, 1/2" CDX subfloor, 1/8" finished floor) and came down 1/4" from the ceiling. The luan on the ceiling is screwed directly into the metal ribs. call it 5'4" finished standing room.

Vader Van - Promaster 1500 Weekend Warrior Build

Cleaned it up a bit. That's gonna be it for now. Have another job starting this week. I would like to get back and finish up some details on the ceiling. Hopefully a better trim to cover the seams and the transition to the driver's area.

Vader Van - Promaster 1500 Weekend Warrior Build

Rough in electric and some temped in lights to plan out the finish interior. Cabinet is 1/2" CDX for the sides and back and a good friend came by with some scrap mahogany for the finished face. Battery system looks like this: We went with an Optima Blue Top 27M - 66AH battery with a vent...

Fastened with Liquid Nails and the OG tie downs are still in place with longer screws. 1/2" subfloor over that, Shaw Asheville Pine snaplock floor adhered with vinyl floor adhesive. The step down...

Vader Van - Promaster 1500 Weekend Warrior Build

Two votes adhesive. Use the tie down screws for mechanical fastening the subfloor. I like it, thanks. Is the Promaster forum a subforum on here or is it a totally different website?

Vader Van - Promaster 1500 Weekend Warrior Build

I'm helping a friend build out a Promaster as a weekend camping rig. We're planning on installing the floor soon. The thought was to lay down 3/4" furring strips to create insulation bays and lay 3/4" subfloor on top of that. How are you all attaching your subfloors and/or furring strips to the...

FarOutVan: Ford Transit 2016 DIY campervan conversion for MTB & splitboarding

I really enjoy following your build! The detail of your build process on the blog is a great resource that I'm sure I'll be referencing once I'm ready to take the plunge myself. As I'm sure you know, the avalanche conditions are extremely sketchy all over the mountain west. Looks like a pattern...

Saw you parked at Alta yesterday or the day before. Was hoping to catch a look inside but it looks great from the forums and what I saw outside. Hell of a pow day!
