    Leaking RTT !

I had an autohome maggiolina. The material for the "fabric" portion was...how best to describe it...a bit stiff. It was still a fabric (not plastic) material...just thicker. Also felt like it might have had some waterproof treatment on it (the autohome website says the fabric sheds water). I...

    Sportsmobile Sprinter 4x4

I keep seeing posts on the sportsmobile forum from what appears to be someone from sportsvan about a 4x4 sprinter conversion coming back to north america. Perhaps more new later this year... http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5849

    California Shops for Minimal Customization?

I've never done business with these guys, but were any of them on the list of folks you've contacted? They seem to be some of the norcal van converters. http://www.happyvans.com/index.htm http://www.personalizedvans.com/ http://www.classicvans.com/

    Earthroamers XV-LT on ebay

I think it was relisted so many times at the same price, that people probably just lost track (at least I did). 90k is still a tidy sum, but much better than the $129.5k it kept getting listed at. Yes, congrats to the new owner!

Best setup for a family of 5

Yeah, HOA rules can be rough. I think you may want to consider something like T. Low's awd astrovan conversion. Very cool with a pop top and 4 inch lift (see below). Or you can go to a fullsize van with a sportsmobile (or take any van to sportsmobile and have them add a poptop for about...

Nissan introduces the NV2500 work truck

Kinda copied the back end of the sprinter, yes? Well, the low-roof model looks ok; nice to have a sliding door. Perhaps sportsmobile can add a poptop to it. BUT, that high-roof model...UGH. :Wow1:

aftermarket neck sealing plug for civilian scepter and rotopax fuel containers

So, are you giving this product a "plug"? :wings: Kidding. Could not help myself. Seriously though...have you tried it? Do you like it? Is there really an issue with rotopax leaking or is this more of a scepter issue.

WTB: Anyone have any leads on a used ladder that will fit a Maggiolina RTT?

Did you contact mike s at autohomeusa to see if they have an extra they can sell you? If not, might check there for the real thing.

I thought you said the Maggiolina could be left out in the snow?

A few observations (not to get people riled up). 1) Let's see exactly what kind of damage we are talking about, what your model loosk like, etc... Right now, we're all just guessing based on word pictures. 2) Perhaps others have thought this, but it seems odd that one would buy a tent...

Has anyone ever built up a tiger?

The tigers are fine rigs and should definitely be considered. One point to note is that the camper portion of the tiger is _rigidly_ attached to the frame and not based on some type of pivot mount like the earthroamer. Just something to keep in mind, depending on how much frame flex you think...

Any advice for the perfect camper van ?

GTRV can do a poptop on a toyota sienna (which you can get with an awd option). I believe it was $6-7k for the top (roughly the same price as a sportsmobile poptop). Now that your budget is 20k, it might work. Won't have the vintage look, but reliablity of a toyota is probably a plus.
