    StoryTeller Epic aka GXV Patagonia

Plenty more info now and a lot of videos online. However I can't find anything on the payload capacity. They mention the garage sliding rack can hold 800lbs but how much can the truck actually carry? It looks like the k370 has 2 chassis options at either 26k or 33k gvwr.

They have finally posted the price , $696,377 which I believe is lower than what the Patagonia was starting at?

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

Any current or previous owners can chime in on what should a prospective buyer be aware of when considering a used unit today? The proprietary (maybe?) control system comes to mind, I think everything else could relatively easily be fixed as needed?

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

I called them a few times to inquire about a consigned unit a couple of weeks before the announcement and got into a voice mail each time and never called back. When I emailed them instead I got an all-cap one liner email in response.

    EarthCruiser Closing Doors

Oh so you're the lucky new owner! I called them as soon as I saw the price drop on it but it was already sold.

    EarthCruiser Closing Doors

Back in 2018 I was quoted $255k for a base FX without any options. Today 6 years later they start at $595k. So yeah at that price points with the current interest rates and the new competition, although it's one of the best rig on the market (IMO) they are just not approachable.

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

Sad but not surprising news. Big shout out to the EC family for what they've accomplished in those past 16 years and for their contributions on this forum

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

There is always a compromise between space and maneuverability. A Hilt or Earthroamer are much roomier than a TN but won't go through the same tight spots or rough terrain. Same way my van is a bit tight on rainy days compared to a motorhome but it has allowed me to go to places I wouldn't have...

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

I've been doing some thinking since first falling in love with this type of vehicle and I've now decided that they are not for me but I'm curious about how people who have this or an Earthroamer for example use them? The big box on a large truck combo makes the vehicle too big to go on lots of...

MOAB 4x4 adventure truck by Recreational Specialties?

I saw a post on Instragram by Acela around the debut of this truck at Overland expo east. Full specs here. Has anyone ever heard about this company?

Be careful where you drive your Earthroamer's...

The EC, especially the EX with its smaller form factor is definitely a capable machine here in the PNW where it's built and tested. Sure it's not a modded Jeep but no RV is. There are many videos online of these rigs going places. The ER is a different machine that is IMO too large and too...

RexRover... another 1/2 ton based big luxury overland camper rig (F150) for $350k

From the same folks who make the $1M truck. Twice the price of a Tiger for a less capable truck. Curious to see if it will sell. On a slightly off topic tangent, it appears expedition trucks and RVs in general are quite a bit less expensive across the pond in Europe vs here in North America...

Wilderness Vans - GRID chassis cab

A Fuso based EXP was $275 pre-pandemic, now they go for quite a bit more on the used market. But the same goes for any vehicle. I sold my 6 years old Airstream trailer during the pandemic for what I paid new and sold my 7 years old truck for not much less. Prices are starting to go down, curious...
