    FG front axle load weight

Looks to be axle, etc Rated at 2800kg, stock tyres are 124 rated (1600kg each), so it isn't the tyres that is determining the rating. The Hino 817 front axle is also rated at 2800kg (but with an extra 1000kg GVM) and the Isuzu is 3100kg, so none of the Japanese trucks have a very high front axle...

    FTS 750 build

Aren't you concerned with the tanks freezing? I mean, the vic high country is pretty damn cold in winter....at least by Australian standards. IM planning on keeping everything within the box to keep it from freezing, but maybe Im overthinking it. Congrats on the rego. How were Vicroads to deal...

    pivoting frames and mounting campers

Thats a MAN chassis I believe SLRV simply dont want to build anymore vehicles based on the Hino 817 4x4. They built one, and thats it. They continue to build based on the Isuzu NPS75/155 because it doesn't have electronic stability control, so if the box "flops around", at least engine power...

    pivoting frames and mounting campers

I dont think a 3 point pivot is ideal or even warranted on some of the smaller trucks. I know Hino specifically says the 300 series 817 4x4 (my truck, on order...if it ever gets here) is not to have such a pivot system fitted after SLRV tried and found it was less than ideal as it made the ESC...

    pivoting frames and mounting campers

I think its one of those things where if everyone seems to do it one way and it works well enough, then there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. Wouldn't be hard to incorporate a way of limiting the travel in the guide so when it reaches the limit it stops the spring being over stretched, but...

    pivoting frames and mounting campers

All the talk Ive seen about spring travel all refers to spring compression which is obviously limited by the free space between the coils of the spring. My question is, why is no one using a spring in tension so that the travel is far less restricted and you can start with a compact attachment...

Isuzu FC Locking Rear Differential Info

The guys at LDS are great and Im sure Norm will look after you The issue is that there is 3 diffs listed that could fit, so you will really need the axle code. I tried to have a look at the archived Isuzu Australia spec sheets for a 2006 NQR to try and get some kind of guidance, but could not...

    Isuzu NRR / Acela Straya High-mobility 4×4 Cab-over Truck

Thats true, but not exactly correct. The power curve is derived from a full power run, so unless you're sitting at 3500rpm with your foot to the floor, and the engine speed isn't increasing, then you aren't using anywhere near that kind of power. Up hill maintaining speed, quite possibly, but...

Guidance on installing large full picture windows/patio door on an Expedition truck box.

I would not have an issue building a large opening like that. As others have already said, torsion forces need to be reduced as far as possible and then build the opening as a portal frame. Im sure you would know at least a couple of engineers who could design the frame for you. I dont think it...

Probably the best steps I have ever seen

Don't forget that Pagani (as in the hypercar manufacturer) has patented a material called "carbotanium" so now you can have both at the same time  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbotanium

Isuzu NPS300 Post or Pre 2008 - Riddle me this

I cant fault the earlier trucks at all. I wouldn't worry too much about the k's provided it has been regularly serviced, it will be bullet proof

2004 isuzu npr 200 sitec 140 engine mods.

I had two NPR 300's of the same vintage and they were totally different vehicles to drive (both bought new for a business) One was lazy as you described and the power delivery was very linear and it felt decidedly naturally aspirated The other one would get up and really go as soon as the boost...

Custom turbo installation in SE Qld - Isuzu 6BG1

This isnt very helpful, but Turbo-Glide is very highly rated and I have yet to hear a bad thing about them (they're 30 minutes from me) I know its a pain, but I would go that little bit further and get it done right the first time

Isuzu NPS300 Post or Pre 2008 - Riddle me this

Ive owed 4 , NPR 4x2 trucks for my business. Oldest was 1997, newest was 2002 and between them, the boys put on more than 2 million km's Apart from regular servicing, I spent the grand total of $75 repairing them. (Cracked exhaust stack bracket) So when it came time to buy a new truck for a new...
