Savana/ Express zéro offset swivel seats?

Did you get the correct swivel for your van? The swivel should be such that the driving position is the same as stock (yet about 1" higher), but the seat will shift towards the center of the van when facing rearward. ie. the swivel point is NOT centered directly under the center of...

GM Passenger Van Camper Conversion Q&A

Hey Central Oregon Neighbor! I'll keep an eye out for you around town and may ask to take a peek inside at your new cavernous space. You won't be hard to spot! The AWD Express does do amazingly in the snow, doesn't it?!

    AWD Chevy 1500 Adventure Van

Looks great! I dig the convertibility of it all. Where did you source your backup camera system? Is it still working well? How is the mirror image when the screen is not powered? Even if I switch to a different head unit, this looks like it might be a better backup camera solution.

Anyone use their van as their primary commuter?

My wife also DD's our Express AWD camper conversion. She doesn't mind the extra size and loves having the amenities - always a fridge for lunch, place to change for a run, towels and washcloths on board when the kids inevitably spill or get wet. Commuting miles are probably around 100/week...

The Fun Hog Build Thread: 2007 Chevy Express AWD

Here is an 8" diameter tank for reference: I believe it is a 5.9 gal capacity, sourced through gowesty. I tried to shove a 10" diameter piece of pipe (may have been 12") between the body and frame and didn't like the way it fit so went with the smaller tank.

Propane storage inside the van. How?

I would still go with the diesel fired furnace, and then use a small tank like in the video (or even 1# canisters) for the cooktop. The Espar/Webasto furnaces are really nice, and then you wouldn't have to use much propane at all.

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

I put the 7623 sway bar on my '09 AWD Express. I believe it was a definite improvement. One thing I should have done (but still have not done yet) first though is make sure the shocks were in good shape and a reasonable selection for the added weight of our conversion (I think I am at about...

COLORADO CAMPER VAN LLC-**Do business at your own risk**

Sorry for not detailing that - we have a Chevy Express van. I wouldn't call this body style 'newer'!

COLORADO CAMPER VAN LLC-**Do business at your own risk**

Nobody in this thread has said it yet, so I'll be the first: We've got a CCV top and we totally love it. I know others that really like theirs as well, including many that have come from SMB tops. The old mold issue is a bummer - it's too bad that some time wasn't invested to revamp the mold...

    88 E350 Gearing 4:10 or 4:56?

with 33's and a C6 tranny, 4.10's are as low as I would go. Alternatively, you could leave the 3.55's in and drop in a 460! I wouldn't be expecting big gains in MPG - what you will be getting is a rig that is a bit more driveable.

The great white fun hog (another white GM awd build)

Need to know - air hose and chucks for your shower line? The thought had crossed my mind last summer but I sort of forgot about it - seems like such a great way to go. How is it working out? I actually thought about using fancy hydraulic QR fittings that have a no leak male end as well...

My quest to get a van. Looking for advice and wisdom.

After owning an older diesel E350 on 35's, we built out a more civilized Chevy Express AWD (in WHITE!) with a CCV poptop (looks like a conversion van going down the road). My wife sold her Volvo wagon and now daily drives the white van and has zero regrets. My only recommendation is that if it...

2014 Express AWD cargo van PNW 4 season camper

Cool lights, great campsite! I like what you've done with your rear rack - I'm considering something similar with the option to either have a box or small moto where you've got your rocket box. With your rack in place, have you pretty much terminated access to the rear doors? The hightop...

    Pop-tops: are they worth it?

Come on, I think anyone here would buy your van for $12k if it had a poptop! I'll reiterate that we LOVE our poptop (CCV top on AWD Express). I think a fixed top would be sweet too, but for us it would not fit in the garage thus becomes a deal breaker. We also use our van as a daily, so...

Anybody heard from Colorado Camper Vans?

Since we are in the world of the internet that often finds itself thriving on negativity, I thought I would throw in two cents worth of happy thoughts: We've had our CCV top installed on our Express van for a little over a year now and mostly have nothing but good to say about it. The top was...

    2004 Chevrolet AWD Express

no sulking - you got a deal too! decent examples of the AWD Express are becoming more and more difficult to find. We paid a bit of a premium for our '09, but honestly I was happy to find one. OP - lets see some pics of your new rig!
