Bump for the 4th of July! It survived the great Searles Valley 6.4 earthquake with flying colors, and it makes a great bug-out vehicle.

    Teotwaki's comms ramblings...

I was just posting to inform and didn't see your post on this page about it. I actually think their batteries are some of the best out there, and I love the fact they are made in the USA, even if their raw materials are from elsewhere. I've been thinking more and more about batteries for my...

    Tube benders

The fact that it will not do .120" DOM is a deal breaker for me, since that is what I would use it for most of the time. Price isn't bad though. If it fits your needs, it might be a solution.

TOYOTA MOTORHOME RE-BUILD: Questions about wiring, propane, water pump, and awning!!!

It may be a little bit more robust for rock hits, etc. Bending instead of shattering. EMT may be lighter than grey PVC conduit (rigid nonmetallic), but you would have to look that up. After thinking about it, split loom should be fine unless you really want to put it in a solid conduit.

TOYOTA MOTORHOME RE-BUILD: Questions about wiring, propane, water pump, and awning!!!

The tubing is galvanized, but if you are in a salty area, you can always paint it with an appropriate coating.

    Tube benders

The Pro Tools 105 and JD2 (JDsquared) both come to mind. They are relatively inexpensive, and do good work. you can upgrade them with a kit from swag offroad to make them air over hydraulic. You can also find plans on the internet that you can buy for less than $20 to make your own.

phones and tablets coming later in 2013

I'm waiting patiently for the Nexus 10. The 7 just isn't big enough to justify itself. I already have a 4.7" phone and a 14 inch ultrabook, so I need something in between and I want big maps for topo. My birthday is in November, so hopefully I'll treat myself to a birthday present!
