AT Atlas on Silverado 1500

Our AT Atlas is finally on our Silverado 1500 crew cab 6 1/2 foot bed pickup. Fifteen months ago we purchased the AT Atlas which had just arrived on consignment at Main Line Overland New England, even though we didn't have a truck to put under it. https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/at-atlas-right-place-at-the-right-time.230and th909/ Last month the truck finally arrived. This week we towed the trailer with AT Atlas to MLO New England and they put the camper on the truck. We are very happy with how the camper fits on the truck. Wind noise increased a bit but is not objectionable. No noticeable impact on handling. Visibility with the regular outside mirrors is excellent with only a small amount of additional obscuration. Initial estimate is a 2 mpg decrease in fuel economy at 70 mph.

Looks great! People complain about the 48" bed on full-size AT toppers, but I think it looks more aerodynamic than a wider bed would look. It tucks in nicely behind your cab- almost looks factory!

Since these things are mounted full-time on our trucks, I appreciate that the ATs don't look like a giant BOX on my daily driver the 340 days a year I'm NOT camping.

Small world! Ran into you folks in the parking lot of the Thunder Bay Hampton Inn. Thanks again for taking the time to talk.
