The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 rated at 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. While billed as a concept, Jeep said it’s an indication that Wrangler fans who’ve been wanting a V8 model “may soon get their wish.”

Jeep has to step it up somehow. Ford is going to sell a bunch of Broncos. Entry level pricepoint is actually affordable too.

The V8 is going to be sold at boutique levels for an outrageous price. It's not going to be in the driveway of every Joe 6-pack. It will be like buying one from AEV on sale.

A production hemi is a long shot but competition pushes companies so well see what happens. I'm looking forward to ram trx pushing the raptor to new boundaries as well. It's a good time to be a car guy.

Jeep doesn't really need a V8 do they? I'd be down to see a new engine with a turbo or 8 and a 10 speed trans. That would directly compete with that sexy new Bronco.

From what I've read on the new Bronco, you can only get manual with the base engine and not the larger one.

And a manual trans. Don't let Jeep off the hook with out a proper manual transmission.

It's definitely a base engine only option which is a bummer but anyone that has used the 10 speed auto should not be wanting the manual anyways. I know everyone has love for a manual but a automatic has become superior to a manual in almost every way. Case apparent in almost every supercar that is now going to auto only.
