    Summitbeerowl's 93 Toyota Truck Build

I'll just chime in and say, nice foundation! 35's on that truck require at least 4 inches of lift and most likely some cutting of body panels to prevent rubbing. If you put in the front torsion bars that you already have, you should gain back some of the ride quality you lost when you...

    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

I have 2000 pound helper springs and Timbren load stops on my Tacoma. It will handle a serious load and sit level. The four wheel camper I had briefly was no problem. The 98 steel folding chairs were heavier but still didn't phase the truck at all. It's a shame that these trucks, when stock...

    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

I will just add that you don't gain a lot of legal load carrying capacity with a Tundra. The larger platform will carry more weight better but it's within a few hundred pounds of the Tacoma. I would look at either a domestic 1 ton or possibly the new Titan XD. That truck is almost in 3/4 ton...

    Floor Pack Design - Questions

I can't say I have any advice, except for look at the way regular truck campers are assembled and follow there lead. Narrow box on the bottom and build up. One thing I've been considering is to put a flatbed on my Tacoma and put a super lightweight fullsized camper on there. A flatbed would...

    Liberty, My 97 F250 CCSB

Thanks for the update. I will mention I had a 96 F250, same truck but with a manual trans and I used 2low constantly. If I was backing up trailers, parallel parking on an incline or any kind of application where slipping the clutch and or slow movement was needed. I don't see why it wouldn't...

New Guy here with a fullsize..

That's the same experience I've had. And I didn't install the floor, only the sides. It would be great if we were staying put for a week or even 2 days but I would have to mount the rtt on a trailer to make that worth it. We usually move daily. I am glad to have the option to use it though...

Removing plastic bed rail caps (2016 Tacoma)- Urgent

Well on my 06 and 09, you just ease them up gently and they pry free. They are just fitted with strong fasteners. I can't remember if there was a screw anywhere holding them in though...I don't believe so. Hopefully someone with a newer truck will chime in. -jorge 06 Access Cab Tacoma 4...

4 Cyl 5 Speed Tacoma: Has anybody regretted getting 265/75R16 tires?

Obviously we all need 2 trucks. The 4 cylinder Tacoma for daily use and a one ton for everything else. That's where I'm headed ha ha -jorge 06 Access Cab Tacoma 4 cylinder 5spd 4x4 with 235's

4 Cyl 5 Speed Tacoma: Has anybody regretted getting 265/75R16 tires?

I'd be driving a Tundra right now if it came in a manual. Oh well, 4cylinder with a 2k helper spring works. No sagging anymore ha ha ha. I like the simplicity of the 4 vs the 6. Plenty of pep for me with 235's and I can still hit 80 on the highway if I'm not paying attention, just not uphill...

    ExPo's 2000 7.3 Excursion Build

4.5 over stock is 37's. Might need some trimming but 35's will look tiny. Don't worry about the stock wheels, I ran 315/75r16's on my stock OBS wheels without an issue. Enjoying the build thread! -jorge 06 Access Cab Tacoma 4 cylinder 5spd 4x4 with 235's

Seeking information on import-sized Bigfoot and Northern Lite campers

I can't help you much as far as finding or giving much info on the campers. I think they use double beds on both of them and that's a no go for me. Too small... I also would not want to have that much weight behind my rear axle with the short bed. My guess is they are 1200 pounds or so empty...

    Camper and Truck Photos

I can add my setup now. 1998 shell model. 2000 pound helper springs, Timbren load stops and heavy duty blistein shocks. Rides and handles great. Truck is listed in my sig. I like the simplicity of the Timbrens. I don't have to worry about leaking air or filling for different loads. -jorge...

Got an AT Bobcat, need a truck. Considerations for ~ year 2000-2004?? Advice??

Well, Labor Day weekend didn't happen but we are headed to MA this weekend. With the 2000 pound helper spring and the Timbren load stops, the truck handles great. Even on dirt roads. I also have blistein heavy duty shocks. No motor bike for the front yet but I plan on a hitch rack with my...

Got an AT Bobcat, need a truck. Considerations for ~ year 2000-2004?? Advice??

Well, I'd have to get the TW first ha ha ha. I'll post up a picture from next weekend when we are all loaded up. The new helper springs and rear timbrens are going on tomorrow. I got the front ones on and the hitch already. Interestingly, the front and rear timbrens I got for my 06 Tacoma...

    Tacoma TRD Off Road questions

98-2004 Tacoma's with TRD Package had a rear locking diff with button on the dash. So if you are shopping, look for the button on the dash. People love to slap on Stickers like p nut said. 2005-2008 - You could buy a TRD Offroad truck or a TRD Sport. The "Offroad" package has a button on...

Got an AT Bobcat, need a truck. Considerations for ~ year 2000-2004?? Advice??

I just picked up a 1998 Four Wheel Camper shell model, the plate says it weighs around 800 pounds. I'm using my 2006 4cylinder 5spd 4X4 Tacoma to haul it. On the trip home, with only a set of helper springs on the back, the truck rode fine but was sagged. I did not have any sway issues...
