Full size truck with leaf springs.. show some flex pictures

As posted in other threads (full size thread, most recent) I have the 2001 F350 Powerstroke with front and rear leafs. I am curious how much flex is possible with simple mods like disconnecting the sway bars, etc. If you have any pictures, post up. (not just Fords, but any full size with...

    Eco-Roamer - F650 based Expedition Vehicle

I've driven that road in beautiful, awesome Northern Arizona all to many times. It is a small, narrow road. (Like most small narrow roads everyone is familiar with) That is a big, huge F650 based truck as we all know. Considering he was probably trying NOT to go super slow, (as indicated by...

Need to buy a fullsize truck, diesel, gas, 3/4 or 1/2 ton?

If you are looking for a GREAT truck with a proven bulletproof and forever lasting motor, super heavy hauling ability and towing ability, not crazy expensive, solid front axle instead of weak IFS, go with a 1999 - 2002 Ford Super Duty with the 7.3 liter diesel. I recently bought a nice 2001...

Looking for Leveled Super Duty Ford owners

Greggk, yeah the factory block has a 1" block on top. It was like that from the previous owner. I have contemplated removing it, but have not gotten around to it. No ill effects....

The guy said that he did not want the manual trans, so stop recommending the manual trans. (he stated that his wife wouldn't be comfortable driving it, so thats that)

Suburban vs 99 f250? new here

Another vote for keeping the 7.3 Superduty. I would (and might, with my own) put an older truck bed camper on it and hit the road. The Ford with its awesome Power Stroke 7.3, and solid front axle is a true workhorse and I would take pride in it. Keep it alive and well with good maintenance...

    linex pictures

Thats pretty sweet. I think that would be killer on a true off road rig for durability and making scratches and scuffs a non issue.

    Super Duty Crew Cab owners?

I recently purchased my dream truck.. a crew cab long bed F350 with the 7.3, very low mileage at 91K, and VERY good condition inside and out. (seat covers, plastic carpet covers, etc) It has banks boost and pyro gauges, banks shift module, 4" exhaust, Line-X bedliner with rhino lined tool...

    2008 F250 Build

I had the same thoughts, but went with a 2001 F350 4X4 (single rear) crew cab with the trusty 7.3 and have no regrets. I am really enjoying this truck and think it is the best compromise to cummins infatuation.. Cummins = FANTASTIC engine, OK truck 7.3 = GREAT engine, GREAT truck (in my...

    Opinions Needed

If thats the Dodge 5.9, the cummins, (any cummins) is going to get much more than 1 or 2 MPG more than that 360 V8. And I'm not a huge cummins fan either. In fact, I own a big trusty 2001 7.3 F350. Cummins regularly get very high teens to low 20's in the MPG department. My good friend with...

    2002 F150 suspension lift

I had far more extreme angles than that in my 1999 Expedition when I had the torsion bars cranked 2". It ran like that from 50K miles to 120K when I traded it, and the boots were still OK with absolutely no ripping or tearing or any noise from the joints. You should have no issues with that...

    Ford Fullsize Thread !!!!

Thanks.. I am enjoying having it. I've been wanting a nice 7.3 truck for a long long time. I've put about 4K miles on it already (in 5 weeks) including 2 800 mile trips and I think its a great truck.

New To Full Size Fun: Ford Expedition

Jackflash, I ran many different tire sizes on that Expo during my 3+ years with it, but in those pictures, the tires were 305/75-17 Goodyear wrangler MTR's. I had the torsion bars cranked up about 2" from day one with no rubbing. (I might have trimmed a bit, cant remember) In those pictures...

New To Full Size Fun: Ford Expedition

Just thought i'd chime in here and say that I JUST traded in our 1999 Expedition EB 4X4 5.4 liter with 120K miles and that thing took me and my kids EVERYWHERE... we did some major back country exploring in northern Arizona with that thing. It was an EXCELLENT truck and will be missed. Just to...
