SOLAR PANEL TO POWER COMPUTER FAN FOR VENTING (initial testing complete)

Those are Bling...alittle rich for me right now... Since I already have a 4in covered vent installed,no more holes to cut in roof and 678 cf per hour works out to what 11 cfm? and the solar panel is maybe 4-1/2 in diam how much output could it have? So even an 80mm 12v fan moves about 60 cfm...

SOLAR PANEL TO POWER COMPUTER FAN FOR VENTING (initial testing complete)

I have a vent in my project that is about a 4 inch dia hole with a vent cover on it to keep out the rain etc. It works good now at venting off hot air,I would like more though. I am thinking of adding a 120mm 12v ball bearing computer fan to the hole and then sticking a 5w or 10w solar panel on...

Cool so I will go with my original plans for the battery hookup(the cheez wiz one) And will look into the switch you mentioned also Since we are on the battery topic: The batteries will be bolted to the floor ,my plan was to build a vented box to house the batteries and then have the bus...

I like cheez wiz...or did as a kid Yes the 12V thingies are bus bars I had it like your cheez wiz pic at first because it made the most scence until I went looking at battery chargers and visited battery tenders web site FAQ area and saw that setup on the "hooking up" battery charger page...

When you say larger what is your ref. point? My wife can get me 6V 215ah batteries for $75 w/no core; so that seemed like a good way to go and space wise I have basically 24in x 48in x 14 in space to play with

so is this right? I was reading on battery tenders web site and came up with the above. So +/- is connected so it will charge. Now If I connect the 12 V + from alt to the same spot as the charger that leaves me with no chassis ground to complete the circuit So If I connect a chassis ground...
