We're selling our comlete overlanding setup - including the truck and gear - while we build a new rig. We built this truck to load up a couple week's worth of crap and burrow deep into the toolies and stay there until the beer runs out. Buy this truck, fill the fridge with food and beer and you're ready to go camping. The truck is setup to sleep on a very comfortable mattress in the back of the truck. We've always preferred this setup to RTTs. Faster camp setup / teardown, no drying out the RTT after a rainy trip and wind is no big deal sleeping in the back of the truck.

We'll be at Overland Expo PNW in Redmond, OR 6/28-6/30 if anyone wants to stop by and check it out!

Known issues:
  • There's some kind of parasitic draw on the starter batts. If it sits for a couple weeks to a month, it'll draw down the batteries. It has an on-board trickle charger so I keep it plugged in when we're not camping a lot.
  • Lots of trail pin-striping. Feature or bug? You decide
  • The 35's rub ever so slightly at full lock. It's never been an issue for us.
  • The transmission heats up on long, slow climbs. We keep it in 4L when we're slow-climbing and that keeps the tranny temp in check. Our mechanic said that's just what these 7.3L Powerstrokes do when you don't have a lot of air flow across the cooler.
  • Passenger side rear door slightly modified by a log sticking out into a trail.
