Custom Rear Bumper Build

Ok I just got the bumper back from powder coating. Finally finished it!

For the corners we cut the edge at an angle so it wraps around better.
The shackles match my front bumper and are from Rugged Ridge. They actually fit the bolt pattern of the van frame rails perfectly. The powder coating is a black wrinkle finish.

So now I have no excuse not to drive to South America!!

Nice design. I've got a ladder on my rear driver's door that I wanna keep so something like your tire carrier might fit. Although I'm thinking a swing down rather than out.

I was looking at it and thought if that receiver tube was a 2" innie and pointed the other way I might be able to fit the whole thing in my trailer hitch if I removed the stock bumper. Be nice to have different bumpers and storage for different uses, all hitch mounted. As long as I didn't get rear-ended again...

Did you end up having to space the bumper out away from the mounts
