Thanks for the links! The first one is working for me, the second one is more like a news channel so is on and off.

It's a model code. Yours is an NL, for instance.

Looks like TV Publica's coverage has ended for today.

Glad to see I'm not the only watching the Dakar this year, I posted similar links earlier today; Loeb, Sainz and Hirvonen are driving this year, and while they seem like favorites for overall win, that Hilux is looking amazing!

As always you can follow up with each stage's official media page:

I think this is the first time I have ever had live coverage, I always just watched the summary vids.

Update: Car line up for 2016

1st accident of the Rally by car #360 Mini, 8 are reported to be hurt in the incident

Week 1 Complete

Week 1 complete, and the Auto series is shaping out with the Peugeot drivers on top of everyone else in the field; Peterhansel was in the mix (previous Mitsubishi Pajero driver) and it has been been a cat-mouse fight between him and Sainz for p2. Sainz won his first stage on Saturday, but Loeb naturally took the show with his skills showing why WRC is the proving grounds for all rally drivers, and he was in WRC when the greats like McRae and Sainz were in their prime.

The guy is a phenom with anything with wheels, this is his first event and he has led almost all the stages and taking the entire overall standing for week 1 while making it look easy. Enjoy that one, Seb!

I'm guessing no one has found better coverage ? English or otherwise ? I found http://cricfree.tv/motor-sports-live-streaming

I can't seem to, and the one time I actually checked in live there was some hostage take-over coverage going on, so I prefer to just look at that site and the Dakar official site.

Maybe Week 2 with the real rally gets started will allow for more channels?

Sidenote: I wish I had the ability to summon people back to life for some events, I'd like to see Hunter S. Thompson take this event on; that guy waving the flag is Evo Morales, a head of State of Bolivia who warned people that eating chicken makes you gay a few years back.

Haha... Hunter would have had a ball with this stuff and we would have seen him on an obscene amount of mescaline riding an alpaca or something.

Stéphane Peterhansel
Dakar 2016 Winner

Well, that's a wrap; Monsieur Dakar went for one more came back victorious despite Seb looking like he was going to take it all from the on-set, and then Sainz taking the lead thereafter: but ultimately it was Peterhansel who took victory for Peugeot.

It was certainly an interesting rally, showing no matter what your lead may be the Dakar will always put up a fight. I'd still like to see it back in Africa, but other than that it was good rally. The Toyota Hilux came in 3rd, which was something I thought they'd do early on, I think that may be a contender for P1 next year if they keep improving their chassis. Nassar's Mini rounded of the podium with P2.

Here are the current vids of the event, there should be a better summary later on.
