ground is under mounting tab,where the contact to the bumper and washer would ground. then i ran #10 wire to a factory ground point in the engine bay, sanded the paint off and the put together.

checked with new coax i do not have meter to check any other way.

I agree, probably in the mount, proved with a different coax. Measuring at the connector end gives you a starting place, then you move up the system.

For this, all you need is very basic multimeter. They're $12 at any Radio Shack.

got it. the hole in the washer that i had to use is to small and was touching the sides of the post. oooops. will drill it out or bigger one. thanks all.
