Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I’m using the original Alu-Cab mattress. It works well as a combination. Didn’t want to bother with air mattresses again, we used to use Thermarest Mondo King. The combination of Froli and normal mattress is about as good and a lot less fuss.

Got a great deal on Froli Star set up from another Forum member and added it under our Exped MegaMat Duo. It has increased the comfort of our sleeping exponentially. Cannot recommend enough & we are still able to close the roof with little issue.

I'm looking for ideas for a propane - carbon monoxide detector, which one and where to mount. I have 4ea 115 outlets but then its on the inverter. Or have a full Redarc redvision system. maybe one that could plug into a 12v camper plug or USB?

Thanks

Why not use one of the battery operated ones? Might be easier. I wouldn’t want the inverter to run for this since sometimes it kicks in the relatively loud fan.

Thanks.

My build is taking awhile, donor was from a Tacoma so bought a fit kit for the Gladiator and prepped all for the install sealing everything with 3M rope seal and Sikaflex 221.

Added a full Redvision panel from GP factor, got the RedArc components to mount into it , 400w RedArc solar panels and a 3kw RedArc inverter. 1 230ah LiTime battery. Found a 115v plug panel that I put in a Goose Gear side panel. I also added 3ea Amber lights to the camper for night usage. 813 camera relocation panel and a couple of billet handles as needed something to hold onto opening and closing the top..

I'm using the new Whale propane heater its variable heat/cfm so should be very efficient. rated to work to about 10k'. It has a thermostat that has a frost mode setting of 41* and a night time mode of 61*. The heating output will range from 4500-9400BTU max cfm is 88. Propane usage @9400btu is 7oz a hour.

Working on the water system, have my pump mounted, a Shurflo 12 Volt RV Water Pump 3.0 GPM, braided clear 1/2" ID hose, stainless ball valves and a Camco 6 stage water filter. Waiting on a couple more SS fittings and a Quick fist to mount the filter.

Once thats done I need to find a hose to quick connect propane bulkhead mount. Then I'll cut up the Toyota Goose gear bed plate to make 2 new tops and 2 doors for the cabinets. All my cabinets were from the donor Tacoma so remade all to fit.

Also doing Cugs idea for rail mounts for the back door. Need to mount a shovel, Hijack and my Trasharoo if all fits.

Starlink will be taken from my MH when needed, haven't looked at a bulkhead fitting yet for the cable. Thinking about the Starlink mount like others have done mounted to the roof rails.

Its quickly becoming a land yacht..keep pouring $ into it but almost done.
