My solution to switches and power distribution.

Well, I've been a lurker for some time now and I just want to say thanks for all the great info you've all provided. I'm now starting to build up my 05 Tacoma and I would have to say that I am quite fortunate than most when it comes down to switches and power distribution since my dad owns sPOD.
This is a set-up that he manufactures for Jeep TJ's & JK's. So I took this setup and installed it in my Toyota. It is a complete wire harness system which includes six-30 amp relays, six fuses, six diodes, 50 amp resettable circuit breaker, six Contura III switches (I'm only using 5 circuits) a two pc harness that runs from the switches to the Source (power distribution unit) with high temp abrasion resistant wire covering that is hand spun onto each harness. This system also includes one of his LVCO (Low-Voltage-Cut-Off) circuit that detects the battery voltage and will cut-off at 11.6VDC and cuts-back in at 12.8VDC so there is enough juice to start your rig. Here are a few pics from this weekends install.
below is the mounting bracket for the Source:

I utilized the open switch banks to install the Contura switches:

Yeah I really love this package, I've been trying to get him thinking about the Toyota's as well. Here is the web site link, http://www.4x4s-pod.com/ . You'll see all the Jeep stuff, what I put in was the Source, wiring harness and Contura switches.

The sPod system is very neat. I had the chance to meet your dad (I assume the guy I met was your dad?) and check out the sPOD in detail when it first hit the market several years ago. He had a vendor booth at Easter Jeep Safari, maybe 2005? I previewd his setup and happened to have my laptop there (was working a booth myself) and was showing hims some Solidworks drawings of my switch setup (using 7 Carlings). Anyways, great setup and hope the sPOD stuff is doing well.

It is possible. I believe he sells the Source, harness and bracket for $290. If you email him, he'll provide you with all the info.
