Alright, stupid question since I've never been to the dunes. But I would assume it's his fault since you were on the uphill climb, right? Just trying to learn about the rules of the sand so to speak.

I hate that happened to your Monty, that color scheme is my favorite too. At least you can keep it for parts and spares for the next one.

One other rule for the dunes... keep your momentum going and your usually ok. You loose momentum and start digging in... put a fork in her and put her in reverse or if it's really bad, break out the tow strap.

Also jumps are not a good thing unless you know what you're doing. If you have to ask how about that, then you should only attempt jumps there with the knowledge that you can mess up your rig. ;-)
