No they don't have soft springs. But they are also build to control an incredibly heavy load in the bed. A soft spring is easier to dampen than one that has a much higher spring rate. Though shocks do help control the cycling of a spring, handling is better controlled by sway bars.

FIIIINALLY got to the end, 443 pages, took a few months of my spare time but well worth it. I've created a full expedition themed screen saver folder from this thread.

I dug up some old pics of my recently sold SAS 4runner:

I lurk here a lot and love this site, to the point that it's the only decal I've put on 4Runner since I purchased it but I somehow never really end up posting here :|

Looks good! What size? Got your lift on yet?

32x11.5 on 15x8. No lift yet and no rubbing at all, even under full flex and full lock. Hoping to have gears and my lift by August. It's not bad at all on the highway with these gears, but I went and played in the rocks and my clutch and back hated it. Lol

Cool sounds good! I've decided ill be running 33x10.5 km2s now, regear, trail gear classic 4 inch lift kit. Might as well do it all at once and only once!

Definitely do the 3" not the 4". They will look way way way too small. 35s are easy to fit with a 3" lift. After seeing the 33x10.5 and 32x11.5 on my friends truck I would take the width over the heighth every day. Do 33x12.5s with the 3" :)

I'm debating the All-Pro extreme and 35s....... :)

You'd be better off running rears up front and doing 57s or 63's rear.

I don't like the idea of RUF. What happens when you break a leaf pack?

I do love 63s, but not the huge shackle required to get any lift.

I may stay with OME up front and do 63's in the rear. About 2" of lift and 33x12.5s, 4.88, 4.7 case, and lockers! Very capable sleeper that'll get down.
