I am building a 82 Brat for my overlanding. Its pretty capable, and is fun to drive. No AC kind of sucks, but that's OK. So far it has taken me all over Anza-Borrego and done almost every trail out there. I am planning a Mojave Road trip late Sept as well.

Well I sold my Lifted 06 OBS but my wife bought an 06 forester and I promptly convinced her to put the same tires that I had on my OBS.
It's nothing more than a stock base model forester but the tires are a nice start.
Hard to tell where it will go from here

I've scanned through all 89 pages of this thread and read a percentage of it. COOL STUFF!

I didn't realize there was a following here on ExPo of Subaru owners. I found this thread doing a search.

I've waffled a lot over the last 8 months about what vehicle to replace my 06 Silverado 2500HD Duramax/Allison with, which i found very hard to part with because it was an awesome truck, but I don't need 2 trucks any more. The local Subaru dealer is tired of seeing me because I have been there a lot, and waffled a lot. I want something smaller and more appropriate for daily driving, but something that's multi-purpose.
An Outback is one consideration, particularly a new one because Subaru has an awesome lease program.

Brat Driver
That brat looks sweet! Do you have the "cyclops" light on yours?

Thanks. It doesn't, but I do have a 22" LED light bar installed on the front. Mine is the DL model so it came with a steering wheel and 4 tires. That's it, not even power steering. I have done quite a bit of upgrades to it, and unless I am not rolling not even the lack of PS that bad.

Nice video! Looks like a good day to be at the beach. Love what you have done with the outback. Hopefully, I can finally use my arb awning and room in a couple weeks going out to scoobapalloza!

My recently acquired adventure mobile- '14 2.5i premium Outback. Just put the wheels/tires on this past weekend. Totally digging the ride so far
