    Dirt Roads And Dogs

Dirt Roads and Dogs! I love it. Is it you? A group of people? We camp with our five dogs, and sharing info re good dog places in NM, CO, etc. would be excellent.

Gone to Moab! Well, not really...

Willing to give out GPS coordinates on the final night's camp site?? Or is it secret stuff :) BTW, we are desert rats and love the wide open spaces. In a week or two, we are doing a part of the Kiowa National Grasslands and will do a trip report after. Possibly the Rita Blanca as well.

Arb awning swing arm fixture broke

Thanks. It would be easy for them to fix it. On the expensive end, something like a spinnaker end clip. On the cheap end, two interlocked rings like you see on some tent poles. But thanks for the comment. It's reassuring that I wasn't totally stupid about it. Doug

Arb awning swing arm fixture broke

I just installed an ARB 2500 awning on my van. First time I set it up, I was opening one of the side arms and tripped, letting go of the arm and the canvas. It fell so that the arm was pointing down, and the plastic swing-arm fixture snapped off. It appears that the swing arms pivot only in the...

SoCal Tear Drop Owners! Post up!

Yes. We didn't see the need for the leaf spring since we are off-pavement forest service or BLM road people, not Utah slick-rock crawler people. Also, brakes come with the leaf springs and we didn't see the need for those on the trailer either. We did get the frame upgrade, however. You can...

SoCal Tear Drop Owners! Post up!

Thanks, but I had to laugh. Back in the day, camping/hiking required a $5.00 USGS map, a magnetic compass, and a pencil. Who'da thunk it would evolve(?) into something requiring over $1,000 in electronics and digital topo maps, along with a half dozen chargers?

SoCal Tear Drop Owners! Post up!

My new rig Picked up my new teardrop from Voyager in Durango a couple of days ago. Really pleased with the design and the quality of build, to say nothing of Mike and his crew. They were great! Now for some photos: 1. Yup, it's a Voyager, towed by the ZoiVan. ZoiVan because we have five...

SoCal Tear Drop Owners! Post up!

Next Week - Voyager (Durango SoCal manufacturer) Been working with Mike Mills at Voyager. Seems like a super nice guy. Ordered in June, ready for pickup next week. Rather basic Sierra but with extended tongue, chassis upgrade, Max Coupler and 30" tires to match my tow vehicle. We don't rock...
