    2WD E150 shake/shimmy issues

It might be worth double checking your u joints. A couple months ago I started to get a noticeable shake/vibration only around 60-75 too. Checked mine and it was definitely time for new ones. After I replaced them it drove like a new van. I actually couldn't believe how many other slight...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

The pavers were right around 2200lbs. My engine had no problem making enough power to move all that extra weight. My brakes on the otherhand trying to stop it... yeah not so much. I definitely need to do some upgrading in that department.

Bruce Vanner! Long, Slow Vanagon Transformation

Haha! I seen an old vanagon today that had "SLOW" painted in 6" block letters on the back. I always thought they were kind of cool. If I were ever to get a small van that's probably what I would go with.

Which engine do you have in your Ford van?

96 E350 Ext body with 5.8 at 199k. I've put the last 50k on it. It's my daily driver and hauls everything from kids to lumber. I don't do any towing so I can't say anything there but I have hauled a lot of heavy stuff without any issues. I seem to get 13 mpg no matter what type of driving I do...

2002 e350 ...... leaky leaky, best way to seal?

For the back you might check the third brake light lens to make sure it's sealed well and not cracked. The inside rear cargo light is right below it. So if it's leaking there it will just go right through the light lens. That's what mine was doing if we got a lot of heavy rain. I just took the...

    Boomer the Quadravan 4x4 Camper

You can say that again! It seems like every time I try to work on my van something else seems to always need the time or the money. I guess that's what happens when you have 8 kids. 😉 The progress of Boomer has been awesome! So many cool ideas. 👍

    Chevy Express

Let us know what you find out. I would be interested in knowing. I just bought an '06 Express 3500. I'm wanting to get some BFG ATs for it. Just not sure if I want to stay with the stock 245/75 size or to see if anything else would fit. I'm guessing the stock size is probably all I can get on...

Tire size for stock 96 E350

Thanks for the input. The van has 245/75 R16 now with no issues. That's the size it's always had on it since I bought it. The coopers I have on the suburban are not p metric or LT tires. There is no letter designation which from what I've read makes them euro metric. Basically putting the load...

Tire size for stock 96 E350

I had originally planned to do my conversion starting this spring and at least have it up in the air by now but I got completely derailed. I got my front axle and even got a beginning quote from Chris but that's as far as I got. By the way I'm still interested Chris but now it looks like it will...

    Chance at picking up a 1998 E350 EB V10

Thanks for all of the input. That one got away before I had a chance to look at it. Not a real big deal. So now back to the plan of ideas I have with my current van. After getting stuck axle deep in the mud yesterday those plans can't get started fast enough.

    Chance at picking up a 1998 E350 EB V10

Might have a chance at getting a 1998 E350 EB with a V10 with under 125k miles. From the pictures the body and inside look perfect for the age. I might be able to get for less than 3800 bucks. I had been just planning to keep my 96 with the 351 but with stumbling across this my plans maybe...

Looking to buy a suburban, should I get 3/4 ton?

Mines a 97 GMC suburban K1500. We bought it 4 years ago to keep up with our growing family. I'm glad that I bought the one that had the front bench seat since we are now a family of nine now. Those seem to be rather rare. When we bought it it had around 125k now it's at 145k. Around town it's...
