2003 Mitsubushi FG chassis with overland camper

Price is reduced to $65,000
The rig is near Phoenix, Arizona, USA
It has no known defects.

It's with pride that we offer this famous overland camper for sale.

Kim and Don Greene built the interior using their international experience as a guide. The shell was commercially built and mounted on the chassis by Unicell to meet all US highway D.O.T. regulations. Most custom campers are not approved for highway travel. The walls are insulated with two inches of polyurethane and foam block, plus the fiberglass, plus 3/8" plywood.

The Greenes have taken this camper from the arctic to the antarctic, through parts of Africa and other countries. The camper and truck are so well built that nothing has broken. Everything still functions well.

The Fuso FG is a commercial 4x4 truck, not a consumer truck like Ford, Chevy or Dodge. The components are designed for long term use. The camper is set high off the ground. The cab over engine design and high camper give the unit great approach and departure angles.

We are moving to another phase of our lives and are not planning on international travel as we originally thought.

Up front, let me say that this rig is designed for best performance on dirt and gravel roads. We get 10mpg on highway and 12mpg off highway. The 12mpg can be up hills, on corregated roads, pothole roads, forest, desert and mountain roads- this is where the rig functions at it's best.

Interesting, so it's a Unicell Dry Freight cube...did they modify it for you and add the windows/cargo areas, or was that done after the fact?
http://www.unicell.com/UnicellVanBodies/DryFreight.aspx
I believe that Don & Kim Greene has Unicell custom build the 'box' for them.
More info here: ExpeditionVehicle1
Here: ExpeditionCabinBody.pdf
and here:ExpeditionVehicle2 (please note this is their expired for sale page and does NOT contain a price, so "not stepping on" this thread)

Unicell, from this rig's experience, builds a pretty indestructible 'dry freight box'. The Greenes added the indestructible, very functional interior. Everyone's needs are different- we, being full timers, wanted insulation, storage and a very functional kitchen for daily use. Cooking and eating outside in various bad weather and bugs wasn't for us. Other's priorities will be different. Take a look at Unicell's site if you want to start from scratch. If you want it all put together, proven, and now, then let me know. Of note is the 8.5cuft frig, 3.5' hanging closet and I'll put a couple of pictures of unique storage areas:

Looks like the floor to ceiling storage area didn't get posted correctly- my fault. Here it is, and bath room/shower, and storage under one booth seat, water under the other:
