dolomiti's 1998 Mitsu Montero (SR?)

I picked up this Montero last night for a bargain price. I've owned 2 Gen 1 LWB Monteros and loved them, but this is my first 2nd (2.5) generation. I plan to keep the mods pretty simple for now, cleaning the interior, getting the a/c back on line, replacing both front seats, adding some BFG 33x10.5x15, pulling the running boards, and putting on OME.

I am not clear if the SR notation followed on to the 2.5 generation, but this one does have the winter package, headlight washers, heated seats, and a locking rear differential.

Does anyone have a set of front seats they want to sell?

Nice Rig! Like the color.

The SR markings/model stopped in 97 but many of the features continued on in the following years as you've seen. IMHO the main difference between the Gen 2 & 2.5 aside from cosmetics/creature comforts is the change to 4.2x r&p gearing. For some this is fine, for others, it's a deal breaker. Additionally the gen 2.5 came with seat heaters.

Good luck finding good leather front seats for sale.

Yes it was...got him to go down a bit on the price. He was also quite hard to communicate with.

Yes, that is my e23, a euro 745i. Also have an e28, a euro m535i, an e34 Touring, and my girlfriend has an e24, a euro M635CSi, in my garage. Her DD is an e36. We've got a lot of BMWs.

May I ask what is the current millege and how much did you pay for it? I am looking for one as well, just not sure what they are selling for. asking price is all the place, here in North VA what I see is mosly Montero sport.

Awesome. I think I recognize you from mye28.com or/and bimmerforums. I just recently sold my E24 I miss it VERY dearly. Eventually Ill be in the market for either another E24 , E12 or if Im lucky an E3. I love bimmers :smiley_drive:

Looks like a great e24. I've got a friend trying to sell a nice e23 in the Houston area, if you're interested. Yes, I'm on mye28.

Bonus...found some gray seats.

Tempting but I'll pass. I love the looks of the E23. The turbo M30 cars are especially tempting when one comes available.
I've got my second son on the way (due this week) and I would be sleeping in that BMW if I were to bring it home.

Nice guys. Since you two are bmw aficionados what's the designation for the older mid 80's 5 series? Always liked that body style and would love to get one if they're reasonable and reliable to own as a daily driver.

You guys will probably hate me but I'll stick with my B5 S4 for a sporty car LOL...
