I have a new cap, so I'm going to be building a new rack for my truck very shortly

And here's a hybrid rack I'm currently building (Aluminum and EMT)

Where did that relay box end up?

I have it flush mounted on the rear of the base using nutserts.

The top plate is just temporary as I'll be lasering out another with the Land Cruiser logo to be back lit like my winch cover

Still need to finish all the wiring, but I should have it mounted sometime this week if there's time.

Why the high sides on the front of the rack?

I wanted to make sumthin similar to the Inti racks (high up front and low profile in the rear for easier loading)

Since I built a bigger loop for larger 9" lights, I needed to go taller on the sides to match the height.
