Its about as far as it will get now. Taxes drained my bank account, and I need to buy a few more parts to finish the lid. So that wont happen for awhile unfortunately.

Sides starting to go in.

Sides done

Cut the floor, drop it in, screw it down! 28 1/4-20 screws... Might have gotten carried away.

All seams caulked with clear polyurethane. Two tubes. Almost got to the end before I had a blowout....

Got my stainless cut and glued and screwed. Its an old industrial door kick plate thats been in my garage for a couple years. Looks like a great back country table to me!

Trailer looks good.. Just a note on the pre-finished birch the clear finish on them has no water resistance. I have built alot of different things out of pre-finished over the years.Any and all fasteners going into or passing thru should be well bedded with some form of caulking...

Keep it up looks good.

Hmm thats not the experience Ive had. I find as long as the edges and fasteners are sealed it does fine. it is definitely not a real thick or tough finish though. But all the ply can be replaced as needed.

It was used because it was free really.... Super budget trailer. So far im under $700 including the axle wheels tires latches etc.

Been working on figuring out how to mount everything. Turns out the maxtrax unintentionally fit perfectly. Except I can really only get fasteners at the top edge. I was going to use a bolt sticking out through either handle. The bottom isn't held tight, but I'd captured by the fender. Think this will work? Or will the flop around too much, or break the handles off.. Ideas?*

I could put a T nut in the Plywood at the lower mounting points, but I think it would be very likely to leak.

To help visualize.

I would use 4 hold downs on them in the slotted mounting holes.
Go to the hardware store and get two sets of mower handle bolts with the big plastic handles.
use carriage bolts from inside the tub so they don't turn.

Mark, I love the knob idea. Thats great.

But the problem I am running into is the bottom edge is tucked behind the finder, I can pull the maxtrax straight out from the side, So if i put 4 bolts in, they wont come off.

Need to find a tee handle and use tee nuts from behind.

Yes its an option, but a leaky one. Id rather not have T nuts if I can avoid it. Im trying to find a piece of aluminum channel to fit the bottom edge of the maxtrax in. Then just use the two studs at the top.

Went for a quick test drive. Didnt bounce as much as I expected. Really light behind the truck, and the lights all worked!

Mocking up the front. Need to find a piece of sheet aluminum for the tongue, instead of old nasty plywood....
