The only braided stainless steal air lines I have are those that come from the compressor to the tank. The airlines are simple high pressure airline that I picked up from Sears.

I too am contemplating a pillar mount vs. what I currently have... I really like those 3 gauge pillar mount, though!

Walker,

sears, really? Ill check it out thanks, i keep going through air hoses like you wouldn't believe. I am going to have to pick some of those up they should do the trick.

This is my rig- Shes got 180k on her now and going strong. I bought her with 20k on it in 08, still had the new smell. This winter I am building a bumper for the front but nothing to bulky, and its looking like a flatbed as well as im thinking some LED driving lights and a long range LED bar.

Mods this far are,
285 75R16 toyo M55's
spectre cold air intake
hypertech power programmer
custom cat back exhaust
rear airbags
on board ARB compressor
Uniden CB, PA, and bearcat scanner
dual firesticks
Z boost hardwired cell booster
escort pasport hardwired radar detector
6 rear and side facing work lights
4 front faceing KC driving and long range lights

I dont blame you I am a fan of the pillar mount, I am looking into something like this

That is a great looking Silverado and the planned mods are going outstanding! I cant wait for the build page on this brute... I spent my childhood in Idaho near the Snake River, my sister lives in Corvallis now. Where are you in Oregon?

Walker,

Thanks, :victory: It has been a great truck!!!!!!!!!!! It is also my daily driver and i tow and haul with it on a regular basis so i keep it in check, nothing to crazy. I will keep the bumper and flat bed build in the loop. There are a few smaller things going in as well, new head unit and a RAM tablet mount. Oh really I would love to explore that area more. Im hoping to do the barlow road and the WBDR soon. I have a brother in Silverton, and have been in Oregon 12yrs now. I am in the Hermiston/ Pendelton area. So i am centrally located which I like.

'Apologies for hijacking the thread. Elee, what lift and bumper/grill guard do you have on your Silverado?
That would be Daystar Leveling Keys cranked to level w/stock blocks out back. worn 285's (about to change with some 17x8's and 285 TSR's). The brush guard is a Westin Sportsman, and the brackets let me run my tow hooks also! And the guard was bought used for $160..:ylsmoke:

Did the Z71 Tahoe valence bolt right up to the front bumper, and were you able to use the stock fog light connectors?

Nice looking trucks!
I'm just starting with mine.
2001 Silverado, 5.3L LS. Has Z71 Off Road Pack, and Z82 Trailer tow pack. 3.73 gears and G80 rear diff.
Front buckets and full center console.
Was originally a Florida truck, sat low with some pretty pathetic tires and side steps.

Put some bigger tires on it (BFG AT's 285/75s)
Lifted with torsion keys about 2" in front. Also new shocks and brakes.
Has just over 100k on it now.
Added my 2M rig, CB rig, sat radio, weather data equipment, and some gear storage/camping equipment in the bed.
Working on adding a platform with storage underneath, plus window treatments for a real bed camping setup.
Have some aux lights and getting some additional warning lights and strobes for when I'm out field reporting to NWS.

Plans include everything but the kitchen sink...who knows what will actually happen. Definitely a front bumper with better lights and a winch. A roof rack on the cap for storage and gear hauling to get stuff out of the bed to make it usable for truck camping. I can't go too insane with it, as its my DD, and work is 250 miles a week :Wow1:

On my way up to Lake Placid on the same trip.

Yes, but I broke some of the plastic push pins, sip ties took care of that though. I ordered some ebay fogs and they bolted up and use the stock connector. I like the look of the valence plus it does away with the shaky fog lights.
