UJOR Build Thread

The 03 axle has 14 x 1.5 so thats the way I set up the rear spacers, so they match. Usually guys build the axle back to the specs of that year, you may have been better off getting 03 unit bearings and just cutting the ABS wires off to avoid the different lugs.

Absolutely. The unit bearings were for an 03, just to be clear, but it didnt say anything about the ones lacking ABS wires using a different thread pattern. Go figure. Live and learn.

Strange, may have a parts store mixup here because all 03 models should be 14 x 1.5. I bet they went back a year, or until they found a non ABS parts#.

Wouldn't be the first time the computer was wrong. :)

Quick question before I drive myself nuts looking. Does your kit come with bolts for the rear shocks or no? And what about new axle side bushings for the factory sway bar? I could have sworn I saw all that but danged if I can find it with a quick look-see. Figure I better ask before I waste too much time.

Second thought, it was a dumb question, never mind. :)

So yesterday afternoon I get a call from a buddy asking if I have any winches. The JK Experience is rolling thru town and one of the guys burned his up the day before. I had a VR12000 here for an upcoming install so I threw it in the M3 for a special delivery. Nice to see the rigs and EVO1!

SMB day at the shop. The red one is inside for some brake test fitting and we threw some new shocks on this black 2014 as well as a steering stabilizer and synthetic winch line. He's headed out for the Expo next month.

The 2nd rig has arrived for some Expo West prep, cool how many of us east coast folks are making the trip. Now that John & Mandi have their interior done we could weigh it to re do the springs properly. So, we replaced the stock spring/block combo with some properly built springs. Should handle & ride even better. We also installed a new tuner from DP to help get this rig down the road!

The F series is in for a gear job.

ooh, that looks enticing. If it's anything like the Eezi Awn K9 low profile rack I'll be interested. I like the modular, flat style. As long as you know what you're carrying the slot style without the side rails is the way I want to go when I replace my Yakima MegaWarrior.
