Gen 2.5 seem hard to find in general let alone a winter package one. Is there an easy way to tell if its a winter package if an add doesn't call it out?

What is this rear diff issue? Do the Gen 3's have the butterfly valve issue also I have heard about? Trying to get a list of deferred maintenance issues/fixes to arm myself for negotiating with a dealer on price

Maybe this is a silly question, in fact it probably is. But with the gen 3 montero's being IRS and them being raced in Dakar has anyone done suspension for more higher speed off road? With 33"-35"s I don't think I need anything really for overlanding, could a montero be a SUV version of a ford...
