    ARB Awning on fiberglass camper

Not sure how the arb mounts but if its a matter of attaching brackets or a ledger to mount brackets to there's no need to drill through. If I recall correctly the arb is fairly light. Fasco 110 epoxy glue should do the trick. Tape off the footprint where you want to glue your mount, sand the...

    The EEXP is Born

looks like the ultimate funhog-mobile and the start of a great trip! wondering what is used for the roof lift and how you like it? also, do you know what kind of tie down is used for the roof? they look a bit different than the standard tie down that rusts after one trip to the coast.

DaGoof: Yep, butted and glued with a thickened resin, filled, shaped and laminated. In a few cases where the radius corner was very small, more square, I did an overlapping joint, I think it's called a rabett or dado(?), which results in fiberglass skin on both edges, therefore eliminating the...

Thanks mn traveller! I'm in Costa Rica now so all this is from the top of my head. I'm using 20", 400lb actuators from progressive automation . I believe they cost about 135 each and I will wire up a control box. Based on other builds I've seen, "pods8 ","hooked up films", and maybe westyss...

jason77: thanks, and with access to all that knowledge and material have at it. you'd be a step ahead of the game. my experience is limited to surfboards and i'm doing fine. it's all been fairly easy for me but slow, and hard to get any info to make decisions when i come to an issue, so just...

well, i had a couple of months back on the camper this fall. weather has been spotty, but i've made some progress. i decided to paint the roof in late sept before nights got too cold. i ended out using easypoxy 6149 primer and easypoxy topside paint. semi-gloss for the inside and gloss for the...

happijac vs reico titan vs atwood: any opininions on which is best camper jack?

trying to figure out which camper jacks are the best for a fairly lightweight camper(<1000lbs). i have reico titans on my old camper. they work great, but are very heavy, i think about 34lbs each, and the lower legs rusted within 2 years. i like the look of the happijac 4150's. also, the atwood...

    The Dirt Sherpa Build

looking good! what wrinkles? until you get your bungee try this: close all the windows and door, set the fan to suck air out, set it on high, lower roof slowly. not sure if it will work with fwc system but works perfect with a heco lift...pulls walls in as it closes.

i did hot coat most of the the shell, i did not hot coat the underside of the cabover or underside of floor......too hard to do on a downward facing surface. it does add to the durability by adding a bit of thickness and stiffness, an also sealing the cloth better. not sure if it's necessary...
