Have a Springar (Family camper seven) and just love it, would recommend it to anyone without doubt. Had a trip last year where we were with a big group of people and it rained sideways for the first two days, everyone was out fighting with tarps and such whilst myself and her with the three kids...

I cannot see the holes for the new lights being a huge problem so long as you properly reinforce the surrounding area with gussets and such. I have used the shackle mounts for snatch pulls on two occasions but i would recommend you don't do this sideways as the metal in this area is designed for...

I pull various trailers for work and for play (mostly regular pick-up's) and the weakest part of the wiring is always the plug and where it connects. I am currently re wiring a trailer and locally here there is just cheap fittings available so I thought I would ask and see what the port folks...

Great build idea in my opinion so keep it up... I think turning the square tube the way you are thinking is a great idea but one problem I might think of is that it would likely be more difficult to machine the ends as accurately as it would be just leaving them flat... This could be solved...
