I had a similar thought, I wanted to take a couple XJ bodies. Something like this but it would be a single axle. Using a pair of two door donor bodies.

I would consider 3.73's or the 4.10 route. It really depends on your future plans. If you plan to go with larger tires and more lift later then plan ahead and get the 4.56's.

My little XJ has 235/75/15's on it, and a 3" lift. I'm musing on dropping Sparten Lockers front and rear in it, D30/D35. With the front and rear locked and loaded is there really any reason you need 31/32/33/35 inch tires? I know with a 3" lift that 31x1050 is the max without cutting metal...

That size reminds me of the old bias play Gateway Buckshot Mudders. They was noisy as heck, not real good on wet roads, but they was tall and skinny and could dig through anything. But alas they are no more. I've looked high and low on the net and there just none to be had anymore.

Blowers are not harmful to the engine if its in proper tune and is not pinging. But for $4k, its out my budget by a long shot. I'd rather see a kit, or someone adapt one from a Ford SuperCoupe or the 3.8 Buick that is supercharged. :victory: Then junkyard parts and it would be affordable.

If its made like the typical tranny, there is plastic shims on the shiftforks, maybe all it needs is the shims replaced. It still won't be cheap as your paying the shop to pull the tranny. But may not be a need for a rebuild.

Anyone have an idea on what size those wheels are? 16", 17" or larger on the Concept? I've found reverse steelies like that, and I'm thinking that I might want to go with 16" just because there is a larger selection of tires out there for it anymore. I don't want to go exotic like 18" or...

How do you like the headlights? I hate the lights on mine, I've adjusted them and still they suck. I've been seriously thinking about ordering a set. Really like to go HID though to be honest, but there is not a good hi/lo single light setup I like.

Don't degrade the AW4 Automatic in XJ's they are top notch tough as nails. Mines a AX-15 5 speed, but I would not have turned it down if it was an automatic. Keep looking you can find some beautiful late models with low mileage that was used by a Soccer Mom but they're not cheap. the Cash...

I would love that new Cherokee, :wings::drool: But I know that two things will kill it. 1. Its a diesel and domestic market likes Diesel trucks, not cars, 2. It wouldn't appeal to the target market, Soccer Moms.
